Birthdays come every year. The thing is that regular parties, even surprise parties, can get old. If you’re looking for something to do that’s a little more unexpected, here are four ideas that the birthday boy or girl is sure to remember.

Plan a Surprise Trip

From – @bobzepplin

Has your close friend or relative been talking about wanting to travel somewhere but just hasn’t done it yet? Their birthday is the perfect opportunity to take them on a weekend getaway. Ask other friends and family to donate to the cause for plane tickets (if necessary), hotel costs, and activities. Then pack them a suitcase and throw it in your car. On the day of, let them know you’re headed off on a weekend adventure.

Throw a Theme Party

From – @wizlil

Regular parties can get old over time. A theme party, however, can breathe new life into a birthday celebration. There are so many options to choose from, such as a casino party cleveland oh, a Victorian-era inspired party, or a zombie apocalypse party. No matter what you choose, be sure it’s something that fits with what the birthday person enjoys.

Try Something New

From – @voss444

Is the birthday person an adrenaline junkie? If so, plan to do something they’ve never done before but maybe they’ve always wanted to try. Take them skydiving. Take a hot air balloon ride. Go to a race track for a unique, high-speed adventure. If you’re going with them, just be sure the adventure is something that you can stomach, too.

Share a Spa Day

From – @just_me_again

If your friend or relative is more low-key, a mini-retreat may be just what they need for his or her birthday. Go all out and book a day (or even weekend) at a spa. Plan for massages, manicures, facials, and more. You can spend some quality time bonding and getting some much-needed pampering.

Birthdays don’t have to fit a specific mold. By taking the person’s interests into account, you can help the birthday boy or girl have a day (or more!) that they’ll never forget.
