My husband and I enjoyed our short stay in this hotel. It ticked so many boxes in our preferences, especially mine because I want my hotel stay to be very comfortable. It does not matter whether it is a budget hotel or not as long as I have a good sleep and I am very welcomed. Well, Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel passed my taste!

What I like:

The room is spacious compared to the usual European standards.
It is clean.
The bed is super comfortable.
It is very quiet even if we were just facing airport.
The bathroom is huge and clean too with enough bath essentials for guests to use like lotion, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, plus soap.
There is an available pressing board and iron and I love these combo!
There is a huge closet where we could stash our luggage inside so they are out of the way.
The mini bar is stocked.
Free bath robes to use.

Service and Staff:
The check in and check out was quick. We didn’t have to wait for long to get out room keys.
The bar attendants were so friendly and helpful with our food selection and got our orders prepared in a jiffy!
Every staff we met was courteous.
Free and fast wifi

Hotel grounds:
The lobby is very spacious! The whole hotel is huge. I don’t feel very claustrophobic staying here.
The business center is also in the lobby where I have just mentioned was very spacious that you wouldn’t have to hit other people’s elbows when using the hotel’s computer in the lobby.
There is a free refreshment.
The hotel is bright with plenty of natural light. It makes me very happy as I love well-lit properties.
There are ice machines. 🙂 My husband’s favorite!
The fitness center has state of the art equipment. I have enjoyed my gym sessions while in Hilton.

The hotel’s spacious lobby and concierge/reception area.
Very spacious and clean bathroom

I am not allowed to divulge the exact price but we got a good discount since our company has corporate deal with Hilton. We enjoyed the very reasonable rate of the hotel per night compared to its rack rate.

Perfect! It is just near the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. It is actually connected with a covered walk-way in Schiphol Airport. It is convenient too that if we get hungry and we didn’t want to eat at the hotel, we could easily walk back to the airport’s main area where you can buy your train tickets as there are plenty of restaurants and food outlets there. There is also a big Albert Heijn Supermarket in the airport so you can buy groceries and take them back to the hotel.

What I didn’t like:

The Concierge agent who checked us in did not provide us any water bottles when we saw how other guests were given special water bottles. And when we reached our room, we noticed we didn’t have any water! It didn’t occur to me to ask right away. We only found our a day before we will check out that we should have been handed our free water bottles.

My rating: 5 out of 5

My recommendation:

Highly recommended for all the “what-I-like” reasons. I just love how conveniently close it is in the airport that we did not have to step out of the airport’s premise to reach the hotel. We walked in a covered walk-way with walk-a-lators and available trolleys to put your heavy bags in for a comfortable walk towards the hotel. It has ample parking spaces and it is next to the parking area of the airport too!
