Taking the Family to the OK Corral

If you love Westerns, you have probably seen plenty of talk of the OK Corral. This can be a fun vacation for the whole family when you’re in Tombstone, Arizona.

The Gunfight Reenactment

One of the most important things you will want to see is the gunfight reenactment. You can also have your pictures taken with the gunfighters afterward. If for any reason you don’t want to see this reenactment, you can get a different admission ticket, which is cheaper.

The Historic Complex Exhibits

There are a number of exhibits that are available for you to look at and even interact with. Many of these are sites where Wyatt Earp and Dr. Goodfellow were in the 1880s. These exhibits become busy after the reenactment, so you will want to allow a few hours to tour everything. You can see the site of the gunfight, the streets of Tombstone Theater, the O.K. Corral Office Museum, and even do some gemstone mining at the running water mining sluice.

Your Visit

When you decide to visit, be sure you take the time to look at when the show times for the reenactment are. This will allow you to get your tickets in plenty of time. The entire experience is fun for the whole family, including those under the age of five. Even when you’re not exploring the museum, you can walk through the Old West Town. It’s a great place to take photos and learn about history. The area is also wheelchair accessible.

Some advanced planning will ensure that you have as much fun as possible at the O.K. Corral. The tickets can be purchased on-site using cash or credit card. Parking is free, too. Once you have your tickets, they’re good for the entire day, allowing you to take your time exploring everything.
