We drove almost an hour to reach Nour Arjaan by Rotana in Fujairah. We arrived earlier that the check-in time so we had to wait for a while to get the rooms cleaned and ready for release since we booked 2 classic studio rooms for one night stay.

What I like:

Staff are all courteous and  friendly. Almost everyone employee we saw greeted us with a smile and a nod to acknowledge us from the security officer at the back entrance where we parked our car for free to the concierge people, to the staff who delivered our replacement key card, and to the housekeepers.

The Classic Studio rooms are spacious for us. We booked 2 and my sister-in-law and her family of 4 stayed in the other one while husband and I stayed in another Classic Studio. You can book similar room from Booking.com or find other available rooms within your budget or number of occupants. But your stay here is really going to be comfortable due to their amenities.

The Classic Studio has a fully functional kitchenette. We bought food from the nearby Lulu Hypermarket/Mall and we were able to re-heat them again in the morning before leaving using the big microwave. The kitchenette has extra utensils and dishes for guests to use. The sink was just the right size for a small kitchenette but it served its purpose for us who stayed overnight with 2 young kids. The fridge is big and has a freezer. We were relieved to chill our juices and sodas with the freezer and ice cream!

The beds. I love hotels with big and very imposing beds but as soon as you lie down, you are instantly lulled to sleep with its comfort.  I slept very late watching but I still managed to wake up refreshed. I did had a nice sleep in the comfortable bed.

The bathroom is very spacious. There is a walk-in shower with a rain-shower head which I loved to use. I liked the glass enclosure because the door closes really tight so there wasn’t any pooling of dripping water when you open it. The bidet is also a nice addition. I don’t usually bidets in the other hotels we booked in UAE nor in other countries so it is a plus to see one in the big bathroom. The counter top is clean with the usual bath amenities and toiletries for guests to use.

The sliding cabinets are very chic. I like it a lot because it has its own illumination when the door is closed. You could use it as your room light if you want the room dim.

There’s a pressing table and an iron. I love hotels with this set because I want my clothes pressed without having to pay extra which I can do in the comforts of my own room if provided with such. So this is another favorite!

The free wi-fi is super fast, although it is limited only to 4 connected devices per room.

Our room’s view was the beautiful, majestic mosque behind the hotel which reminded me of The Sultanahmet in Istanbul.  And not far from it was the mountain ranges.

They have a pool, indoor kids play area, coffee shop in the lobby and a restaurant on site.

Some rooms have balconies. The other room we booked has and it was overlooking the city area.

The buffet breakfast has plenty of option for both adults and kids and we were really satisfied.

There is a huge parking building behind the hotel for free for guests.

The location is nice. There are nearby food outlets and Lulu Hypermarket/Mall was just few blocks away that you could practically walk to get there in a good weather.

The room was not wall-to-wall carpeted. And lately, I like staying in hotels with room flooring like hardwood or laminated tiles, just not carpet.

The check-out was quick.

The price. It was really affordable considering the space of the room and the amenities we had.

What I didn’t like:

We had to request for a key replacement as the one provided to use was not even working.  The small inconvenience was quickly replaced with satisfied smiles as the staff who came to hand us our replacement keys were all smiles and apologetic. He gave us our keys in less than 5 minutes while we waited in my sis-in-laws room.

The very big bath robe fit for a giant.

My recommendation: 5 out of 5

If you’re visiting Fujairah whether for a business, a family getaway, or a group outing, then consider this hotel for your stay away from home. The rooms are spacious as they have kitchenette. The bathroom is huge and the cabinets too. They have ironing board and flat iron so you can press your own clothes, saving you money on those extra fees for laundry.

The kitchenette is well stocked with utensils and the fridge can hold a lot of food if you’re staying for long. You can use the convection stove or microwave for cooking too.

The location is also superb! If you don’t have time to prepare meals, you can just walk to the nearby food outlets or get a cab to take you to Lulu Hypermarket or the Fujairah Mall.
