If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you will know that I plan on doing lots of travelling in my life. In fact, in a few short months, I will be heading off to travel the world. I cannot wait for this adventure, it should be an amazing experience.

I know how lucky I am to be able to travel, as so many people don’t have the chance. For many of us, when it comes to exploring the world, life gets in the way. Simple things like money, families and jobs can be the reasons that many people don’t get a chance to travel as much as we would like to.

However, when it comes to exploring the world, these things don’t have to get in the way. Regardless of what’s going on in your life, there are plenty of ways you can fit travel into it. Okay, so you may not be able to jet off into the sunset right now, but these four ideas will allow you to do so, at some point in the future.

1. Find a job that enables you to travel

If you want to travel but also want to build up a career, why not find a job that allows you to travel? The best thing about this is that you won’t have to sacrifice your career and will be able to see lots of amazing places.

When it comes to finding that perfect role that includes travel opportunities, you will be surprised at how many options you have. From working as an executive assistant to being a flight attendant, there are so many options to choose from. If, like me, you love to write, you could always consider working as a freelance writer. That way you could get paid simply by writing while you travel.

2. Get married abroad

Getting married might be a long way off, but if travel is something that you are passionate about, getting married abroad could be perfect. There are so many amazing places that make great destinations for weddings abroad.

The great thing about this is that once you get married you can spend two or three weeks travelling as a honeymoon. It might not be a five-month extradition, but it’s still a great way to get out there and see the world.

3. Do a study year abroad

If you are still studying at university but are desperate to travel, consider doing a study year abroad. Obviously, this isn’t an option for all courses. But most do offer you the chance to take a year our for work experience or study, both of which could be done in another country.

Often, if you choose to take a study or work experience year abroad, your student grant will cover most of the cost. So you can enjoy living and studying in a new place, without having to stress about money.

4. Work abroad

Instead of starting your career in the UK, consider looking for a job abroad. That way, you can live in and explore a new place, without having to worry about money and a career. Plus, working abroad for a few months is a great way to enhance your resume.

Obviously, if you are going to work abroad and don’t speak any foreign languages, you are going to need to work in an English-speaking country. America, New Zealand, and Australia are all good options for this.

When it comes to fitting travel into your life, it can sometimes feel impossible. However, there are always ways to get around the things holding you back.
